These actions were conducted in various Bay Area cities and involved gathering signatures in support of developing a comprehensive plan to meet a number of demands, including pulling the U.S. military out of Iraq, closing U.S. military bases, return of Iraqi control over political and economic institutions, reperations and reconstruction, and a "peace dividend" for "job creation, health care, education, housing, and other vital social needs."
